Working to alleviate hunger in Greater Springfield and to eliminate the waste of our food resources
Rachel’s Table is a central food distribution service to help feed the hungry. Six days a week, volunteers pick up extra food from area supermarkets, restaurants, caterers and bakeries and distribute it to 43 local soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters, etc. Communities served include Springfield, Longmeadow, West Springfield, Feeding Hills, Chicopee, Holyoke and Indian Orchard.
Since 1992, Rachel’s Table has grown to be a well-respected organization that serves an increasing number of hungry people each year in the Pioneer Valley. Rachel’s Table is a catalyst for community-wide participation in a program that helps the hungry. Our over 200 volunteers come from varied backgrounds, religions and cultures and all share a desire to make a difference in the Greater Springfield community.
