Rachel’s Table’s Foodraiser was held at the Big Y Longmeadow on Sunday November 4th.   It was a huge success!  In the ‘shopping contest’, our shoppers spent $2923 and saved $3612 for a grand total of $6535 worth of food. Everyone definitely gets and A+ for bargain hunting! 

Additionally, because of the enthusiasm of our shoppers, other people who just happened to be at Big Y that morning donated over 5 large carriages worth of food that totaled at least another $500 worth of food. 

All of the food was donated to Providence Ministries that serves Kate’s Kitchen, Margaret’s Pantry, Broderick House and Loreto House and Open Pantry Community Services that serves Open Pantry Food Pantry, Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen, Jefferson Shelter, Greenwich Teen Living Program and Rutledge House.
